Bio
Peter Castellano is an Emmy-winning Art Director based in Manhattan, NY. After three years in website design, Peter took on a new challenge in broadcast television. He started designing television motion graphics, arena electronic signage, and set pieces for World Wrestling Entertainment, maintaining a schedule that involved 7 weekly domestic and international broadcasts, 16 yearly Pay-Per-View events, as well as numerous DVD releases and internet specials. Management responsibilities included department personnel and workload scheduling, voice-over talent and audio coordination, and promotional and green screen shoot production. In April 2005, Peter and the WWE Creative Services team were featured in Apple Inc.'s Focus on Professional series.
Peter continued these responsibilities as a part of NBC Universal’s Oxygen Network; designing show packages, sponsorship integration, and promos for over 12 weekly programs, movies packages, and ad sale presentations. Peter continued to work closely with the in-house print and online media departments as well as outside creative boutiques to develop consistent Oxygen branded projects for upcoming programming and industry events.
Currently working as an Art Director with ESPN, Peter has gone on to develop graphics packages for College Football, The Masters, The British and U.S. Open Golf Tournaments, The Indianapolis 500, The World Cup of Hockey, The Special Olympics Games, The NCAA College World Series, The Rose Parade, and many ESPN entities such as Mike & Mike in the Morning, and The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
While working in motion graphics, Peter kept up his print based work designing logos and brand identity for a wide range of clientele. Recent clients include the USA, SyFy, and Speed Networks, Absolut Vodka, TapOut MMA, and New York Insider TV.
Peter graduated with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design (Magna Cum Laude) from the Hartford Art School and is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
