Social media campaign with SportsCenter promoting every individual matchup of the tournament.
NBC Universal tasked The Oxygen Network Creative Department to recontextualize the network in the eyes of clients and viewers alike, recasting its target demo of young female viewers as “Generation O,” female trend setters of ages 18-49 and hyper-focusing on women aged 18-34. The concept also needed to be energetic, fun, and celebrating the spirit of “Live Out Loud”.
A robust campaign compromised of Oxygen brand elements and promo packaging was created for each of the network's original series, including Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Snapped and others, all distinguishable by a colorful, upbeat palette and the "O" logo used as a design treatment. Also created was a playful toolkit of graphic elements that connected to specific Oxygen shows.
The results of this successful campaign launch and network rebranding in the third quarter of 2010: Oxygen had a 9 percent boost in prime-time deliveries, with an average draw of 491,000 total viewers. Women 18-34 improved 20 percent versus the year-ago period.
Outside The Lines, ESPN’s investigative journalism show underwent formatting changes and needed updating to match the show’s new vision. These changes presented two main challenges: First, to adjust the style of the graphics package’s artwork and studio design to better suit the show’s new Saturday morning presentation and hour-long format. Second, to adapt Outside The Lines design elements so they coexist more seamlessly within SportsCenter co-branded daily segments. Our design philosophy was to retain the strong and unique brand identity of OTL and its distinct color palette while making the artwork feel more inviting and brighter.
